Taking A Chance on something new

I've spent my life much like you have, barreling toward some goal or another on autopilot.
I quit my corporate job in May 2023 for what I intended to be a year. I set the expectation that there wouldn't be an expectation. There were no immediate demands, no corporate goal setting, and lots of yoga.
I just wanted to see what life would be like if I briefly stopped living in survival mode.
How would my friendscape change if the conversations weren't focused around work?
What types of questions would I ask myself, if I wasn't distracted?
But Most IMPORTANTLY What types of food would I eat, if I wasn't in a hurry?
As it turns out, food...when lovingly and mindfully prepared, is the most glorious thing that has ever happened to me. No one ever taught me how to cook; they CERTAINLY didn't teach me how to bake. Over the years I've slowly learned how to put together a good meal....but I NEVER considered I'd be a baker.
I'm suddenly living a life far more desirable than the stressful, distracting clusterf**k that is corporate. And if there is a single lesson I've learned so far...
ONE YEAR IS ABSOLUTELY NOT LONG ENOUGH
So, thank you for being here. Thank you for helping my tiny life shine a little brighter. You are valued more than you know and I appreciate every moment you've generously given.
Be well and be present. Until next time.
